About the Event

On May 24th, ELEVATE South Bay is pleased to present Chris Murphy + Constellation Quartet. Our world-class musicians will perform a community concert with pop, film, and original music. Come early to enjoy the taco bar and other local South Bay vendors. Galaxy lighting and lanterns with fairy lights adorn the space to create a truly inter-stellar space to enjoy the music.

Chris Shaw will be opening the night at our outdoor stage from 6-7pm.

A Few Things...

  • Total run time is about 2 1/2 hours, including a 20 minute intermission.  Doors open at 6pm for plenty of time to check out the vendors and grab some food. Student and senior pricing is available. VIP tickets include a lanyard, priority seating, and lots of other goodies from our amazing sponsors as well as our favorite selections from the band merch tables.
  • You can add tacos and horchatas to your ticket for $10/students & seniors or $15/General Admission. Tacos will be grilled on site and served with a delicious selection of horchata drinks. 
  • Wine and desserts are available for purchase before the show and during intermission. Popcorn is free for everyone!
  • The building is handicapped accessible.
  • This concert is ALL AGES friendly. Please note that there is about 2 hours of music with an intermission. Children can bring coloring books, reading, etc- just please no tablets, phones, or other screens. If you think your child might need a break from being inside, we recommend sitting at the back or a side aisle.
  • Parking is street only. 

About Chris Murphy

Chris Murphy fuses styles and techniques from across the globe, weaving a unique fabric of world music. Murphy finds his element on the stage, where spontaneity and improvisation reign. Chris has amassed a deep catalog of solo and collaborative music over the years, and his diverse talents make him a sought-after composer and collaborator for film.

Born into an Irish-Italian family near New York City, Murphy was influenced by Italian mandolin, bluegrass, folk, and Latin music. With 18 solo albums and 20 others in collaboration, he has written over 450 songs and performs over 200 performances yearly. Based in Los Angeles, Murphy has made a living by writing, performing, producing and recording original music.

About Constellation Quartet

Constellation Quartet is committed to bringing live music into a variety of communities and contemporizing the role of a string quartet in the 21st century. Their debut EP, "The Venice Sessions" (feat Cliff Beach), was released at the end of 2021 and was named Number 2 on the Ark of Music's "Top 10 Albums of 2021." CQ highly values collaboration with other artists and debuted their first live music video with Abby Posner through the Bluegrass Situation.

    Kick your feet back and relax in your own leather armchair in priority seating. VIP tickets also include a lanyard, tacos, 1 drink ticket, and a bag filled with goodies from our favorite South Bay shops. A percentage of your ticket sale goes to benefit the Guitar Center Music Foundation, non-profit organization focused on granting instruments and other musician services to various music education organizations.
